Brother Tim Hartman Obituary

October 25, 2021 By

Timothy Alan Hartman, 66, of Mechanicsville, MD passed away suddenly on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at his home. He was born on December 5, 1954 in Washington, DC, to Edna Rebecca (Miller) Hartman of Kemmerer, WY and the late Jay Spencer Hartman.

After graduating high school, Tim would enter the law enforcement field. He considered his career as a police officer an honor, as he was able to make a difference in his community. After a dedicated career, he happily retired and spent his time with this family.

Tim would meet the love of his life, Elise Smith during the early days of his career. They would marry on October 26, 1985 in Upper Marlboro, MD and welcome two children, Zachary and Kallie. They would have celebrated their thirty-sixth (36th) anniversary only ten days after his passing.

A true hero to all those who knew him, Tim was a dedicated servant to his family, community and God. He was always available to lend a helping hand or give you a push to make a difficult decision. Although, his health was diminishing over the last several years, he always had a smile for those who he held close to his heart. He was an active member of the F.O.P. #89 and enjoyed spending time with his brothers.

A great man left us to stroll the golden streets of heaven with his Lord and Savior. Those left behind will have memories to carry in their heart until reunited in heaven.

Along with this dear mother, Edna Hartman, Tim is survived by his loving wife, Elise Hartman of Mechanicsville, MD; children, Zachary Hartman (Deidra) of Mechanicsville, MD and Kallie Hartman of Mechanicsville, MD; one (1) grandchild, Leighanne Hartman, due at the end of October; and brothers, David Hartman (Ann) and Richard Hartman (Virginia). He is preceded in death by his father, Jay Hartman.

At this time all services will be private.
