 Keep up the pressure and call today!!

Attached are the direct email and phone numbers for the members of the JPR Committee as discussed in our meeting today.  We ask that if you have not called or sent an email to one of them that you please do so.  You can also get as many others that you can call as well.  If you live in the District that the specific Senator has jurisdiction over then please let them know as that goes a lot further.  I also want to clarify for everyone that what we are asking for is a fix to the already passed Senate Bill 1 from 2023.  The bill did not exempt retired officers from the restrictions in the specific section of the Criminal Law 6-411 when it was passed after all the debate and confusion on the floor of the Senate prior to and when it was passed.  This was done in spite of the efforts of Senator Beidle to point out that the exemption appeared to be missing.  She was assured retirees were covered and it was not the case.  The exemptions are properly in Section 4-111.  We are asking for the promised fix from Senator Waldstreicher that would copy and paste the retiree exemption language from 4-111 into 6-411.  I have attached the direct phone number and email for the members of the JPR committee to make it easier for you to contact them.  Let’s keep the calls coming to keep the pressure on.
