CONTRACT APPROVAL AND IMPLEMENTATION

Good Afternoon Brothers & Sisters,

As you all know the contract was approved by the County Council on Tuesday, April 11, 2023.  The resolution “pay bill” has been enacted by the County Council, the implementation of the contract payments transition to both the County and Departmental Fiscal Management components involved. Coordination with these units on back pay and wage scale implementation has already begun.  The timeline for the pay is as follows:

All Members who had an anniversary from July 1, 2022-February 11, 2023 will receive their merit step and any wage adjustments from receiving that step for all payable hours during that time period (i.e. Overtime, Leave, Holiday pay) on the pay check dated April 21st, 2023. (Not including any steps missed due to the PAT test)

 All Members who had/have an anniversary from February 12, 2023- April 9, 2023 will receive their merit step and any wage adjustments from receiving that step for all payable hours during that time period (i.e. Overtime, Leave, Holiday pay) on the pay check dated May 5, 2023. (Not including any steps missed due to the PAT test).

 All members with anniversary dates between April 9, 2023 – April 22, 2023 will receive their merit step on time and along with all other members will also receive a wage scale adjustments on total hours worked and all other contractual financial incentives (i.e. Overtime, Shift Differential, Holiday Pay, Tech Pay, Clothing Allowance) on the paycheck dated May 5, 2023.  (Not including any steps missed due to the PAT test).

Effective April 23, 2023 which is reflective on the May 5th, 2023, pay check, All members should be properly placed and paid at the correct step on the new and current wage scale which has the effective date of February 12, 2023.  We encourage our members to ensure that they have been properly placed on the scale by comparing their rate of pay on the May 5th check with the rate of pay for where they should be on the new wage scale. (not including any missed steps due to the PAT test)
