DEATH OF BROTHER AL GIBSON #296

It is with great sadness that the membership of the Retired Association is notified of the passing of Brother Alan D. Gibson (ID# 296) on August 10, 2021. Al joined the department in 1968. He served in patrol, and for many years in SOD (K-9). Al retired from his sworn position in 1986 but returned in 1989 to serve six more years as a civilian applicant investigator and in the Public Information Office. Al passed away at his home in Conway, SC, with Janet, his wife of 46 years, at his side. Al was 74 years old.
