SEARCH WARRANT MINI CAMP IS BACK @ 89

On February 27th, 2024, the Prince George’s County Police Department will be hosting a Search Warrant “Mini-Camp” training session at the FOP Lodge 89, located at 2905 Old Largo Rd, Upper Marlboro.  Check in will begin at 0815 hours and opening remarks from Judge Nichols will begin promptly at 0845 hours. This will be a full day of training and will last until 1630 hours. There is no charge for attendance and a light breakfast and lunch will be provided.

The course will be presented by professionals in the area of criminal law and will cover the basics of search warrant law, updated search warrant procedures, phone search warrants and case management of warrants.  There will also be a session on genealogy in law enforcement and a working lunch with a prosecutor panel. This training has received positive feedback from past attendees and is a great opportunity for Investigators to expand their knowledge base.  Officers who have attended previous sessions will still benefit as several emerging topics will be discussed.

Registration is open to all officers but is limited to 200 people and will be dispersed with the intent to give multiple agencies the opportunity to send representatives.  It is highly recommended attendees carpool as parking is limited at the Lodge.  Interested officers should use the below link to register for the class.  There will be a waiting list in the event we have more requests than available seating.  Priority will go to officers currently working in an investigative assignment.  Due to the capacity limitation, do not attend unless you receive a confirmation email within a few days of your registration.  If you attempt to register and the personnel counter shows all seats are taken, please go ahead and register for the course so we can assess course interest for seating.  All mini camp materials will be posted online for those who do not get a seat or cannot attend. For questions, please email Cpl. Cody Katzenmaier #3860 (PGPD) or Captain Todd Dolihite #2848 (PGPD).

It is imperative if you sign up for the training that you attend. If for some reason you are unable to fulfill your commitment, please make early notification to Cpl. Katzenmaier (CAKatzenmaier@co.pg.md.us) or Captain Dolihite (TEDolihite@co.pg.md.us). This will allow us to maximize attendance from the waiting list.
