Retired Bother Rumsey #1571 (now with MD Park Police-Montgomery County Division) has requested your support in an upcoming Sentencing Hearing. In February of 2022, Brother Rumsey narrowly escaped with his life during a pursuit and arrest of a violent armed subject. During the arrest, the subject opened fire and attempted to kill Brother Rumsey. Thankfully the shot missed and struck a nearby vehicle.
The Montgomery County SAO accepted a plea agreement and Brother Rumsey would appreciate any and all support at the upcoming Sentencing Hearing. A strong showing in the court room will help advocate for the strongest sentence possible. The hearing is currently scheduled for FEBRUARY 26TH, 2024 AT 2:30PM in Courtroom 9C-North Tower (50 Maryland Avenue Rockville, MD 20850).
