Interested in becoming an Associate Member of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 89? Our members enjoy access to the FOP Facilities, including the FOP Lounge. Another perk for Associate Members is the coveted FPA License Tag Program, which identifies you as a supporter of law enforcement. Finally, as an Associate Member, you are entitled to the FOP Dental Plan. You can learn more about these benefits by clicking the buttons below.
Associate members are eligible and welcome to use the Lodge facilities. Rental of the Banquet Hall and Field/Pavilion is available to members for family functions such as parties, weddings, receptions and family reunions, etc. Special pricing is available for seminars hosted during the day, Monday through Thursday. A discount is given to members for immediate family functions only.
Associate members are also granted access to the FOP Lounge. Associate members are allowed to bring a guest to the Lodge. However, guests must accompany members at all times.
Members are responsible for the conduct of their guests. Any infraction of the member or their guests can result in the loss of privileges and/or membership.
The Lounge hours are 2 pm to 2 am Monday through Friday and 6 pm to 2 am on Saturdays. The Lounge is closed on Sundays.

FPA series tags may be obtained after one full year of Associate Membership has been completed and the second year membership is paid. The FPA tags identify the Associate members as a law enforcement supporter. Associate members interested in purchasing FOP tags for their vehicles must send in a copy of their current FOP 89 Associate Membership Card, a copy of the Maryland registration with the Associate members name on it as the owner or co-owner, And a copy of your current insurance card for this vehicle, with the policy number visible, and your name as the insured, and a check for $15.00 per vehicle made out to FOP 89.
Our goal is to have the application package returned to the applicant Associate member within two weeks of the chairperson receiving member information. You will then sign the application provided by the chairperson, and follow instructions provided. Glen Burnie is the only MVA authorized to issue FOPA Tags. Only Associate members are eligible to display FPA tags on their vehicles. Spouses, children and relatives are not eligible unless the FOP 89 Associate member’s name is on the registration. FOP 89 does not maintain the applications at the Lodge.
Information on how to obtain the tags will be provided in the letter you receive with your second year membership materials.
NOTE: Members must provide a current and accurate address; FOP 89 is not responsible for non-delivery and/or replacement cost of application due to the submission of incorrect address.
The FOP offers Dominion Dental Plan as the sole provider of dental benefits to our members. Office visits, x-rays, and some filling are covered at no charge. Major services such as extractions, root canals, crowns, and bridgework are included at a reduction in cost.
The open enrollment period each year for the Dominion Dental Plan begins in November and effective January 1st. New Associate members can join the Dominion Dental plan within thirty (30) days after their Associate Application is approved.

In order to process your application, it must be signed by an Active or Retired Prince George’s County Police Officer. For those of you submitting an application by mail, you must include the items listed below to the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 89:
- The Completed Associate Application
- The Completed Background Authorization Form
- A Copy of your Driver’s License
- $65.00 Cash, Credit Card, or a Money Order made out to FOP 89 for your dues and administrative fee

The mailing address for FOP Lodge 89 is PO Box 510, Lothian, MD 20711. Once your application is approved, a membership card and FOP window stickers will be sent to you. Each year when your membership is renewed, a new membership card and stickers will be sent in return.
